How does it all happen?
The recruitment process for selection to the Prime Minister's
Global Fellowship involves an open invitation for applications,
with a supporting statement from a principal, headteacher or youth
leader. This year the application process is onle
available online and will be open from 18th November 2008 to
18th February 2009. Candidates will be shortlisted in
March 2009 for interview and assessment in the week 20th -
26th April (in London or Manchester). Formal interviews are
only one part of the process, alongside other communication and
enterprise activities.
All applicants will be notified of the final outcome within six
weeks of the assessment.
Want to get involved?
If you live in England and will be 18 or 19 years old on the 1st
July 2009, you will be able to apply online for
the 2009 Prime Minister's Global Fellowship. Candidates should be
self-starters with strong communication skills and the ability to
respond well to unfamiliar environments. A demonstrable
spirit of enterprise and a proven track record of initiative and
readiness to try new things will play an important role in the
selection process than academic credentials.
