Global Entrepreneurship Week, 15-21 November
2010
Be part of something massive!
Global Entrepreneurship Week, organised
by Enterprise
UK, is a worldwide movement, of
entrepreneurial people, with millions unleashing their ideas and
turning them into reality. For one week, countries across six
continents come together to celebrate entrepreneurship and
enterprise, inspiring people to embrace innovation, imagination and
creativity.
Global Entrepreneurship Week connects people
everywhere through local, national and global activities designed
to help them explore their potential as self-starters and
innovators. Students, educators, entrepreneurs, business leaders,
employees, non-profit leaders, government officials and many others
participate in a range of activities, from online to face-to-face,
and from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking
gatherings.
Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010 will
take place from 15-21 November. Find out how you can get involved
in the future at: http://www.gew.org.uk/

Chain Reaction
Among other events, Enterprise UK sponsor Chain Reaction, "a
community of people, passionate about social change, who are saying
'we can make a difference'". The idea behind this movement is
simple - that we all have the power of our own actions, but that
none of us on our own can change the world, not governments, not
businesses, not charities. We succeed when we work together.
Key topics this year included new ideas for engaging
communities, financing social change, delivering public services
and for organising the business of social change.
Global Fellows Fellows
Aneta and Jonathan attended Chain
Reaction 2009 at Canary Wharf and were inspired by what they
learned from the community of social leaders, community activists,
MPs, business leaders, young people and teachers from all over the
world that attended. They have written an excellent,
detailed report of the event, sharing what they learned at
Chain Reaction from speaking to, and hearing speeches from,
various members of the commuity, including Kaycee de Belen (Young
Mayor of Newham), Simon Berry (ColaLife) and Dr Geoff Mulgan (The
Young Foundation). You can read about Aneta and Jonathan's
experiences in full here

Chain Reaction 2010 will be held in November and you can
